ARC FLASH HAZARD ANALYSIS
TRACING ELECTRICAL RISKS, DIMINISHING ARC-FLASH RISKS THROUGH AN ANALYSIS, AND CREATING A SAFE WORKPLACE CULTURE SHOULD NOT BE A SPUR-OF-THE-MOMENT THING. AT DUBAK ELECTRICAL, OUR ARC FLASH HAZARD ANALYSIS WORK TOGETHER TO CREATE A MUCH SAFER WORK ENVIRONMENT BY LOCATING, ANALYZING AND IDENTIFYING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WHICH BRINGS OUR CLIENTS INTO OSHA COMPLIANCE.
An arc flash is an extremely dangerous occurrence caused by a short circuit or a fault condition. When a phase-to-phase or phase-to-ground conductor is connected and current flows into the surrounding air, it can create an explosion in electrical equipment that is fast, powerful and lethal. Conducting a full assessment of the risks is critical for arc flash safety.
The Arc Flash hazard analysis methodology used by Dubak Electrical Group conforms to IEEE 1584.1-2013 and NFPA 70E. Our arc flash risk assessments typically include a check of all electrical equipment on-site, a full incident energy analysis, determination of the PPE level required, and a study of all currently used protection devices.
Our technicians are fully trained and experienced in arc flash testing and can provide the most accurate results. When you call on us to provide a complete arc flash analysis, you can rest assured you will be given all the details needed to maintain compliance and keep your facilities as safe as possible.
The information gathered by Dubak’s Arc Flash hazard analysis is obtained via data collection by certified field technicians and entered into our SKM database. This information is then used to deliver you a detailed proposal and action plan, including different operating conditions (called scenarios) of the electrical distribution systems, to mitigate potential arc flash hazards by obtaining the lowest AFIE (Arc Flash Incident Energy) rating possible.
At Dubak Electrical, SAFETY IS OUR MOST IMPORTANT MATTER, period. By creating a safer and more reliable workplace through our electrical safety training program and continuous dialogue with our employees and clients, lowers our work related injuries and near miss incidents.
