Cable Types We Install

• Cat6: This is the right choice for standard desk drops, VoIP phones, and printers. Cat6 cabling is capable of speeds reaching 10 Gbps in runs of less than 55 meters, or 1 Gbps in runs more than 100 meters.  

• Cat6a: The modern default for new builds, this can reach speeds of 10 Gbps over a full 100-meter channel. What’s more, the heavier shielding of Cat6a cabling means it can handle higher temperatures. It’s the required grade for Wi-Fi 6E/7 access points, AV-over-IP, conference rooms, and high-density areas.  

• Cat7/Cat8: These cable types are best for short-run, data network cabling, with speeds reaching 40 Gbps over distances of less than 30 meters.  

• Fiber: Because fiber optic cabling is immune to electromagnetic interference, has no 100-meter limit like copper, and a lifespan that can exceed 25 years, fiber is the backbone of installations in interbuilding runs and risers between floors. We have expertise with choosing between single-mode vs. multi-mode fiber as well as OM3 and OM4 installations.  

• Coax: This legacy cabling still has its place in video distribution, CCTV, and other systems still in use across various commercial facilities.
