DATA CABLING SERVICES

As information technology continues to ingrain itself into most businesses, there’s an ongoing need for data network cabling that streamlines a company’s infrastructure. Many businesses choose structured cabling because its modular concept makes upgrading and reconfiguring their systems easier and future-proofs their setups to a certain degree. This concept involves network cabling that consists of multiple standardized components all based around a highly organized framework. Although this simplifies networking for the user, it requires an experienced contractor to ensure the smoothest and most effective data cabling installation.

From structured cabling design and diagnostics, to implementation and additions, Dubak Electrical provides data cabling services for all your networking needs. As an experienced data cabling contractor, we work with knowledgeable partners trained in all network cabling services. Dubak Electrical builds and maintains copper and fiber optic data network cabling for voice, data, and video systems. Our staff of network designers can help resolve the most complicated data cabling installation problems and design issues to keep your business up and running.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the difference between Cat5 and Cat6?

The key difference between these two cabling standards comes down to bandwidth. Cat5 has an upper limit of 100 MHz, while Cat6 has 250 MHz available. This means Cat6 offers a better signal-to-noise ratio that provides more reliability and room for future expansions.

Should I use Cat6?

If you’re worried about needing to upgrade all existing equipment by choosing Cat6, don’t. Cat6 cabling is backward-compatible with all Cat5 standards, so it’s a good idea to choose Cat6 so you’ll have the available bandwidth you will most likely need in the future.

What is fiber optic cable?

Fiber optic cabling transmits data in the form of light pulses through translucent fibers. Unlike traditional copper cables, these are more reliable and aren’t subject to electrical interference that can degrade signal quality.

What is patch cable?

Made from stranded wires, patch cables are used to connect dedicated cabling ports to the equipment found in a communications cabinet.

What is a network cabinet?

This is an installment consisting of numerous racks that house networking components and hardware. These help keep equipment organized and allow for proper ventilation to prevent overheating.
